Fractional Laser Skin Treatment

The only laser of its kind in Montana and within a surrounding five-state area.

Fractional laser skin treatment is a cosmetic procedure used to improve the appearance of the skin. It works by using beams of light to create tiny columns of thermal damage in the skin, triggering the body’s natural healing response. This process stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, proteins that help keep the skin firm and smooth.

This non-chemical resurfacing treatment is safe and efficient and is much less invasive than other procedures such as dermabrasion, microneedling, or chemical peels. Laser treatments help decrease or eliminate wrinkles or stretchmarks, diminish the appearance of scars and age spots, repair sun-damaged skin, and decrease the size of enlarged pores.

The fractional laser skin treatment requires little recovery downtime. Following the treatment, it’s common for the skin to be red and swollen for two to three days, similar to a sunburn. Some minor flaking may also occur as the damaged skin cells are shed and replaced with new, healthier tissue.

Which areas can be treated?

Mast Laser Dentistry offers fractional laser skin treatments for the face, neck, décolletage, lower belly, hands, and arms. Fractional laser skin treatments counteract the effects of acne, aging, sun damage, hyperpigmentation, scars, or poor nutrition on the skin. Depending on the individual’s needs, multiple treatment sessions may be required to achieve the desired results.

Reasons to consider fractional laser skin treatment:

  • Decrease or eliminate wrinkles or stretchmarks
  • Diminish the appearance of scars
  • Remove age spots
  • Repair sun-damaged skin
  • Decrease the size of enlarged pores

What does the recovery process include?

After treatment, the skin may be red and swollen for two to three days, similar to a sunburn. Some minor flaking may occur as the damaged skin cells are shed and replaced with new, healthier tissue. An after-care product bundle is included with the purchase of a treatment package. It’s essential to follow post-treatment care instructions to ensure optimal results and minimize the risk of complications, such as infection or hyperpigmentation.

Smooth Threading

In conjunction with laser therapy, Mast Laser Dentistry offers smooth threading, a non-surgical, minimally invasive approach to improving the texture and tightness of your skin.

The procedure includes using a fine needle to insert smooth PDO (polydioxanone) threads into the top layer of your skin to help stimulate the body’s natural collagen production. Collagen is a protein that helps maintain skin elasticity and firmness, improving skin texture and tone over time. Over several months, the PDO threads gradually dissolve and are absorbed by the body. During this time, collagen continues to be produced, further enhancing the skin’s appearance.

Patients may notice immediate improvement in skin tightness and texture following the procedure. However, the full effects of smooth PDO threads typically become more apparent over the following weeks to months as collagen production increases.

Treatment Areas and Recovery:

Smooth PDO threads can address various signs of aging, including sagging skin, fine lines, and wrinkles, particularly in the lower face and neck area. However, individual results may vary, and multiple treatments may be recommended for optimal outcomes. It’s essential to consult with our staff to determine if smooth PDO threads are suitable for your specific needs and goals.
